We believe in making a lasting impact. To achieve this goal, we developed two funds that will allow Team PHenomenal Hope to serve the patient community in the short- and long-term. The short-term project is our Unmet Needs Patient Impact Fund. The long-term project is our PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research.

PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research

The team is very excited about the PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research. Established in 2016 with a $50,000 base (all of it raised by Team PHenomenal Hope athletes and the PH patient community), we are building this to be a conservatively-invested fund that supports grants for medical research into improving treatments or finding a cure for pulmonary hypertension.

Team PH is incredibly proud to have awarded its first grant of $50,000 in June of 2019 to Vineet Agrawal, M.D., Ph. D. and mentor Anna Hemnes, M.D., from Nashville,TN. Their proposal, “A Pathogenic Role for Natriuretic Peptide Receptor-C in Modulating Pulmonary Hypertension and Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction,” stood out among our research committee, and we are pleased to support this avenue of study.

We are continuing to build this fund to support medical research into improving treatments or finding a cure for pulmonary hypertension. We will continue to grow this fund with a portion of our sponsorship donations as well as from contributions from donors and our athlete-based fundraising. Learn more at teamphgrants.org.
