Louie Lewis’s PH Story

March 09,2017

My name is Louie Lewis and I live in Michigan.

I am 52 and was first diagnosed with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis when I was 16.

It never really bothered me too much until about 2003 when I had pneumonia or bronchitis, and the bug attached itself to the outside of my heart and put me into congestive heart failure.

I started seeing a cardiologist and with medicine all was good and back to normal life until about 2007 when I started getting the effects of Pulmonary Hypertension.

Now I am on 24/7 oxygen and my O2 stats are pretty good at rest, but fall very low in a short time unless I turn my oxygen way up to 8 liters or so.
