2017 PHenomenal Hope 5K Raises over $30,000!
The 2017 PHenomenal Hope 5K is over – and wow what a day!
There were just around 700 participants this year and, thanks to the incredible work and planning by organizer Julia Feitner, the event raised over $30,000! That is fundraising whose proceeds will be applied to medical research into improved treatments or a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension. Over the last four years of this event, Julia has raised $100,000 for medical research into PH.
The event had media coverage from Pittsburgh-local news stations WPXI and KDKA. Both interviewed Julia and aired those segments either Sunday evening, Monday, or both. This was an amazing effort to raise awareness of Pulmonary Hypertension to the greater Pittsburgh region.
And the 2017 race shirt was well received – almost selling out! The design was inspired from a t-shirt by our friends at Team PHenomenal Hope Mexico.
