July News from Team PHenomenal Hope

Welcome to the July Newsletter. We hope this newsletter finds you well and now that we are in the middle of summer, we are so pumped to share the latest from Team PHenomenal Hope!

First, the race highlights:

Race Across the West (RAW). The team worked together overcoming heat and fatigue to finish in 2 days, 13 hours, 7 minutes. For more on RAW please see PG‘s RAW Truth Race Report.

Congratulations to Pascale, who won the Michigan National 24-hour Ultracycling Championships! She covered 424.3 miles in 24 hours, winning her age group and tying for the overall women’s winner. We are so proud of her.

PG completed her final qualifying ride for Paris-Brest-Paris, covering 600km in Ohio, eight days after finishing RAW. She was joined on the second day by teammate Pascale on a sunny day in Ohio on a memorable ride.

In July, Ryanne Palermo completed her first 24-hour running race, completing 80.5 miles in the Montour Trail 24-hour race. She keeps going and going and going!

On the triathlon front, Dustin Wehler set a new PR in the Cleveland Triathlon, having a near perfect race, and flying the team colors in his swim, bike, and run.

Second: This issue we feature a Warrior Bio from an old friend, Kathleen Richardson, who is living in Florida! Please read Kathleen’s story.

Third: We are excited to send two riders out to ride with our friends at Bayer Healthcare in the Gran Fondo New Jersey. Together we’ll be riding to raise awareness and funds to find a cure. Please join us whether in person or supporting us through our Crowdrise page.

Finally: We have rebuilt our fundraising platform by joining with Crowdrise to raise funds to find a cure for PH. All monies donated through our website will go to make a difference in the lives of patients with pulmonary hypertension through research for a cure and supporting patient services. Please check out our crowdrise page and share it – help us raise funds in the ultimate race, the race for a cure!

Thank you for racing to make a difference with Team PHenomenal Hope.
