UPMC’s Comprehensive Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) Program is one of a few centers in the United States to offer highly specialized, comprehensive, state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of this complex disease.
Led by Michael Mathier, MD, the program includes a team of experts, such as cardiologists, pulmonologists, palliative care physicians, specialty nurses, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and social workers.
It offers a full range of medical and surgical therapies for PH patients. Our experts are also pioneering studies to better treat persons with PH. The program works in partnership with UPMC’s world-class Lung Transplant Program, one of the most experienced in the nation.
