A word from the new Program Manager
Team Phenomenal Hope welcomes its newest full-time employee, Mrs. Katie Werner
Greetings!
My name is Katie Werner and I am thrilled to join Team PHenomenal Hope as the new Program Manager.
I come to Team PH with a background in nonprofit development. While earning my Bachelor’s degree at Ball State University in east central Indiana, I fell in love with the nonprofit sector interning in the development department at the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Soon after graduating with a degree in public relations and marketing, I moved to the greater Chicagoland area and began working at the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, Midwest Chapter as the development manager. In this role, I was able to create an endurance program and meet dozens of talented, driven athletes as well as hundreds of courageous and inspiring patients. During my time at PHA, I grew an irrevocable connection with the PH community, and a desire to work toward a cure.
I am ecstatic to be back working for the PH community and for a cause near and dear to my heart. My hope is to help this organization grow by supporting the athletes and patients and strengthening outlets in which our constituents connect. I avidly look forward to the coming year and what it has in store for Team PH.
