Announcing our new Featured Sponsor, Bayer HealthCare
Team PHenomenal Hope is pleased to welcome Bayer HealthCare, the pharmaceutical division of Bayer, as a featured sponsor of our team.
Team PHenomenal Hope is excited to have the strong support of Bayer as we race towards a cure in the Race Across America in June. “Bayer is well-known in Pittsburgh for its material sciences business, but it also is a multinational healthcare company. As we train in our hometown of Pittsburgh, we all know the iconic Bayer sign lit up on Mount Washington at night,” said Dr. Patricia George, manager of Team PHenomenal Hope. “We are truly grateful for Bayer’s generosity towards our charity and proud to wear the Bayer symbol on our race jerseys in June.”
Bayer’s vision and success has led to the development of a new class of drugs in the pulmonary hypertension field, soluble guanylate cyclase stimulator Adempas (riociguat). Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in October 2013, it is the first and only drug approved to treat persistent/recurrent chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) as well as inoperable CTEPH. It is also approved for treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
This upcoming year will be an exciting year for Team PHenomenal Hope and its newest sponsor, Bayer HealthCare, and we look forward to racing with Bayer in the race of our lives.
