In Memory of Paul Stracke
A beloved member of our pulmonary hypertension PHamily gained his wings recently, with the unexpected passing of Paul Stracke, of Graham, Washington. Paul was the beloved caregiver and husband of fifty years to Cheryl Stracke, a PH patient, and the Support Group leader for the Puyallup area Support Group. Paul and Cheryl were from Defiance, Iowa but moved to the Tacoma, Washington area in 1997. When Cheryl was diagnosed with PH in February of 2010, he instantly slid into his role in life caring for her and others stricken with the disease. When it came to Paul, every person he met was a potential friend and his laugh could fill a room. We were blessed to know Paul, and he will be sorely missed by all. Simply put, he was the best.
