Letter from the Director: Gearing Up in 2019
Happy New Year! At Team PHenomenal Hope we have been busy setting our goals for the new year, including growth of the PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research and the Unmet Needs Patient Impact Fund.
We are coming up on the February 1st Letter of Intent (LOI) submission deadline for our first ever global PH research grant of $50,000. Medical professionals studying the area of pulmonary hypertension are invited to apply to the PHenomenal Fund for Global PH Research. See details and eligibility requirements at www.teamphgrants.org. Help us spread the word by sharing this information with your doctors and nurses. We are looking forward to awarding this grant to improve the lives of PH patients.
There is still time to join our endurance program for 2019 and become a PH athlete. Please sign up as soon as possible at www.teamph.org/join. For every friend you recruit to join the team with you, you’ll be entered into the drawing to win a $50 gift card! Our endurance athletes make such an important impact on our PH community. This impact is amplified when our athletes are part of our Let Me Be Your Lungs program. Patients interested in learning more about joining this program and being paired with an athlete can contact our program manager directly at katie@teamphenomenalhope.org.
Team PH Unmet Needs Patient Impact Fund is growing in 2019. This fund is intended to assist patients with non-medication needs. Team PH is the only PH nonprofit organization offering this kind of financial support. To keep up with the demand to help PH patients through this fund, we require the financial support of the community and corporate supporters.
