News Regarding Our First Research Grant: Letter from the Director
Team PHenomenal Hope is excited to announce we are in the process of creating a new web portal for the submission of competitive research grants. We are planning to launch this before the end of the year and to award our first-ever PH research grant in the amount of $50,000 during the first quarter of 2019. Stay tuned for more information on when the portal will launch and applications will be accepted.
In other news, we are winding down and reeling from such a successful 2018 athlete endurance team season, and we can’t wait to do it again! We are thrilled to announce recruitment for 2019 is just around the corner as we kickoff awareness month in November.
Athletes who race for Team PH have chosen to use their sport to raise awareness about pulmonary hypertension (PH) and their funds to support our cause. Join Team PH and become a crucial piece in beating this disease! Also, we encourage all of our athletes to learn more about the Let Me Be Your Lungs program, and sign up to be matched with a patient. Our patient community looks forward to being paired with and inspired by our athletes, and follow along on their journeys in training and competition. Our athletes are encouraged every day by their Let Me Be Your Lungs patient partners, and race in their honor and support.
Our athlete are not only training and racing throughout the year, but also work to raise money to support Team PH’s mission. We are elated and grateful that so many of our current athletes have raised above and beyond their yearly fundraising commitment. These fundraising dollars go straight to fund our programs, including Let Me Be Your Lungs, the Patient Impact Unmet Needs Fund, and our Global Impact Research Fund. We thank each and every one of you for the inspiration you provide to us and the PH community we serve.
We hope that you are inspired by what we do to build awareness and support our PH community. Please consider donating to support our ongoing efforts to make a difference in the lives of people with pulmonary hypertension.
