Season of Giving and Thanks: A Community of PHighters
Thank you for making Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Month an inspiring one. Our community of phighters banded together this month to spread awareness, educate others, and raise funds for better treatment and a cure.
The month kicked off with one of our endurance athletes, Harold Laudien, running a double marathon across the state of New Jersey. Throughout the month, we have seen so many PH community members sharing our awareness month frame an graphics on social media. To cap off the month, Callie’s Gaming for a Cure event raised $35,000 for the PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research. This, along with the funds raised from the PHenomenal Hope 5K will allow us to award at least one new competitive research award of $50,000 next year to help find better treatment and a cure for PH.
Giving Tuesday is December 3rd and the beginning of the holiday giving campaign at Team PH. In 2019 two key impacts of your donations provided:
- More than 80 $500 unmet needs patient impact grants thus far
- Our first $50,000 research award to improve treatment and find a cure

Support our Unmet Needs Patient Impact Fund to: Increase the number of grants to 120 to help more patients with unmet needs.
Support our PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research to: reach our goal of awarding two research awards in 2020 to quicken our journey to finding a cure for PH.
General support to: Build a stronger PH community through our various programs such as the Let Me Be Your Lungs program, global teams, and other initiatives like sharing patient stories, and creating innovative patient perspective videos.
