Team PHenomenal Hope has two full time staff members.

Executive Director

Leslie Orlovsky

Leslie joins Team Phenomenal Hope with more than 25 years as a nonprofit leader with proven program development and fundraising track record for mission-driven organizations. With a deep history in grassroots and peer-to-peer fundraising, Leslie looks forward to working with our PH families, patients, donors, volunteers and stakeholders to fuel our mission by strengthening our current programs and increasing our funding opportunities through relationship building and volunteer recruitment and cultivation. Prior to her selection as the Executive Director of Team PH, Leslie held positions with the American Cancer Society, the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, where she first learned of the impact of pulmonary hypertension. When not fundraising, Leslie prefers to spend her time volunteering with others over like-minded causes. “I’ve been blessed to meet so many incredible individuals during my career and their passion to make meaningful change is infectious.” You can usually find Leslie on a beach reading a juicy mystery novel or tending to her small but impressive vegetable garden in New York City. She’s also learning to ski and hopes to make it down a blue trail one day soon.

Community Outreach and Marketing Director

Katie Werner

Katie joined Team PH in the summer of 2017 with a background in nonprofit development. While earning her Bachelor’s degree at Ball State University in east central Indiana, Katie fell in love with the nonprofit sector while interning in the development department at the Second Harvest Food Bank. Soon after graduating with a degree in public relations and marketing, Katie moved to Chicagoland and began working at the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, Midwest Chapter as the development manager. During her time at PHA, Katie grew an irrevocable connection with the PH community and a desire to work toward a cure. This made it an easy decision to come work for Team PH. Katie delights in traveling with her husband, gardening, cooking, reading, and exploring new hobbies.
