A Championed Community: Letter from the Director
Spring is finally here!
Already, in 2019, we have 50 athletes dedicated to training, racing, and fundraising on behalf of those living with pulmonary hypertension. They are supported by peers, family, friends, and industry sponsors who recognize the value of investing in this fight. We are grateful for the athletes who have already begun fundraising and have participated in early race events thus far in 2019. Our athlete fundraising supports the programs of Team PH such as the Unmet Needs Patient Impact Fund, Let Me Be Your Lungs program, and our PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research.
The 6th Annual PHenomenal Hope 5K in Pittsburgh is quickly approaching! The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2019. We would love to see as many of you as possible at this fun and impactful event. Organizer Kayla Frattini and her crew of volunteers are hard at work making this an enjoyable and successful event. This event is a major contributor to our research fund, and we are happy to announce that our first $50,000 PH related research grant will be awarded in late spring. You can learn more about the PHenomenal Hope 5K at phenomenalhope5k.com. Even if you cannot attend, you can still follow along on social media and make a donation. Please show your support!
Be sure to show your appreciation to your pulmonary specialists and other doctors by celebrating Doctors Day on March 30th. Team PH recognizes the compassionate patient care provided by our doctors. Thank you!
