Strengthening Our Community: November is Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Month
At Team PH fall signals not only the end of the racing season, but the beginning of planning the new season. My heartfelt thanks to all our athletes, patients, donors, sponsors volunteers and board members for a year filled with hard work and success to impact the PH community. You have allowed us to continue to make a difference in the lives of people with pulmonary hypertension.
November is PH awareness month and Team PH has a number of activities planned to raise awareness and funds. Watch our social media channels and your email for details. Highlights include an event organized by the Linscott family and friends to benefit our PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research. Click here to learn more and hear this heartwarming story. Additionally, CVS Pharmacy in-store radio and receipt promotions of Team PH will circulate during PH awareness month, as well as pay it forward opportunities and countdown to Giving Tuesday.
Throughout the past year, we have worked hard to evolve our patient services and awareness programs. 2019 is the first time ever that Team PH has granted Unmet Needs Patient Impact grants in the amount of $500 throughout the entire year. We have also awarded our first research award from our PHenomenal Impact Fund for Global PH Research of $50,000.
The need to help patients is great. We really could us your help in replenishing the Patient Unmet Needs Fund. We have a variety of ways you can contribute to the fund; you can pay it forward by asking 10 of your family and friends to each make a $50 donation to Team PH that would fund one Unmet Patient Need Impact Grant. To make it easy on the budget you can set up monthly credit card charges, or make an outright donation on our website. For only $42 a month for 12 months you can fund one Unmet Needs Patient Impact grant.
