Team PH Welcomes New Staff Members

July 28,2023

Because of the support of our community, Team PH has been able to grow our staff and resources in recent months. We are thrilled to announce our new staff additions and welcome both Maggie Jervey and Tonya Kidd to the team.

Maggie joins Team PH as our new Development Manager with 10 years of fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector. She worked in campus ministry for 6.5 years with a large international non-profit, and then at a small pregnancy clinic focusing on peer-to-peer fundraising and event coordination. Maggie graduated with her Bachelor’s in Communication from Christopher Newport University and has always had a passion for helping others and serving her community. Maggie also lives with Congenital Heart Disease and is reminded often to not take life for granted. She is excited to join Team PH and get to know the PH community! Maggie loves spending time at the bay and being out in nature as much as possible! She and her husband enjoy game nights with friends, finding the best taco in town, and taking their dog, Willow, on long walks in their new neighborhood.

Maggie shares, “It has already been such an honor and blessing to be a part of an organization that provides hope to people with PH. I have loved getting to know the team and the wonderful TPH community! I am excited to see how we can grow and help even more people in the years to come!”

Tonya joined Team PH in June this year as the new Program Manager. She will be focusing on managing and developing further our Unmet Needs Fund, support group, and research award, as well as our other programs and projects. She is originally from the Gulf Coast Mississippi area, where she recently returned after 29 years. Tonya holds a bachelor’s degree from Morris Brown College and a Master of Public Administration Nonprofit Management from Troy University in Atlanta, where she previously resided.

Tonya has worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years in which she has assisted homeless families and individuals with acquiring affordable housing, rental and utility assistance, and enrolling in free healthcare programs. She has been involved in various community outreach and engagement activities and continuously fosters partnerships that holistically serve disadvantaged communities.

Tonya also shared, “Joining the team here at Team Phenomenal Hope has been enlightening, learning more about PH awareness and providing patients with support and resources. I love my team of phenomenal women and looking forward to contributing to the growth of the organization!”

Join us in welcoming our new team members!
